Hello blogging world!! Long time no see and I've definitely missed you. Soooo much has been going on lately I can not find the time to put together a post. Finals for my second quarter at AI just ended and I'm sooo relieved to be done. I have been incredibly busy and am looking forward to my little vacay to Florida! I'm sitting in the airport now waiting to board the plane. Can not wait for some FL sunshine!!! I'm going to try and get back to blogging if my schedule allows. I've bought so many amazing shoes and clothing lately that I've been dying to share but can't find the time. I guess I need to work on my time managment a little better lol. Check back for posts soon I will def be able to update while I'm in Florida!

Hello everyone! Its a snow day here in NYC and I'm definitely taking advantage of it. I've been so busy with school, work, and interning I needed a day to catch up on sleep, hw and cleaning the apartment, so the snow day couldn't have come at a better time.

Bloggings been sporadic because I barely have the time to put together a post, but I came across photos of Kate Hudson and Leighton Meester and I had to share their outfits! I love the mix of leather and black in their dresses. Something I will definitely be trying soon!

Also I've been doing a lot of shoe shopping lately, so I'll have pics to share soon!

Golden Globes 2011

Hello everyone!! The Golden Globes had soo many great dresses that it brought my blogging back to life lol. Lately I haven't been feeling very inspired but watching all the ladies arrive last night, with the dresses getting better and better had me loving dressing up all over again!

My top two favorites were Leighton Meester and Anne Hathaway in long sleeve gowns. Leighton Meester wore Burberry and I loved the color of the dress and heels. While Anne Hathaway wore Armani Prive and she looked killer! The back was amazing and the head-to-toe sequins were gorgeous.

Blush tones were a suprising trend on the red carpet and for a girl who doesn't love pink much, I found myself loving a lot of the dresses. Lea Michele wore Oscar de la Renta and this was my favorite color pink of all the dresses. Her hair is also really pretty. Megan Fox wearing Armani Prive went for a softer pink and the detailing on the top was beautiful. Claire Danes wore Calvin Klein Collection and she went for a much bolder pink. I loved the dress and hair but I wish she would have went for a more bolder earring to go with the simple cut of her dress. Then there was Emma Stone also in Calvin Klein Collection wearing a more peachy pink. The cut of the dress was great and the cutout of the back was so perfect for the dress.

Of course there will always be the ladies in black, oh and Olive Wilde in brown lol. Olivia Wilde wore Marchesa and her princess gown was gorgeous. I especially loved her hair, which went great with the dress. Eva Longoria wore Zac Posen and here's another dress with a great cutout back. I first loved the dress when I saw it from the front and then seeing the back had me loving it even more. Jennifer Lawrence wore Louis Vuitton and my favorite thing about it is the cut of the dress. While I love the color and ruffle detail, the standout for me is the cut which we never see.

Lastly another big trend of the night was emerald green. This was another color I was suprised to see so many leading ladies wearing but I have to admit I adore this color. Mila Kunis wore Vera Wang which had great back detailing. Catherine Zeta-Jones wore Monique Lhuilier and it is my favorite green dress out of the bunch. The texture and cut are perfect together. Last but not least there's Angelina Jolie in Versace. The color looked amazing on her and the shimmering of the dress was perfect.

So thrilled with all the great dresses at the Golden Globes and its just the beginning of award season! Can't wait to see what fashion the next shows hold for us.

Earlier this week I found out through NYCshopguide on Twitter about a few sample sales this week. One of them being Proenza Schouler, one of my favorite desingers of late. Since Christmas is next weekend I didn't go all out but I did get a PS1 wallet for more than half the price! I've been needing a new wallet and dying for a PS1, so I was definitely thrilled to find this wallet that could also double up as a clutch!

I'm in love with this wallet, its the perfect size and has such a great print! Follow @NYCshopguide on twitter for all the latest NYC sample sales!

A Bendels Girl

Today was the second day of my internship and after going to a couple of appointments at show rooms I went to shop the stores. Today was my first time ever at Henri Bendels and I'm officially in love. The store is amazing and the accessories/jewelery selection is so good. I restrained from buying myself anything since I still have lots of Christmas shopping to do but I will be making a purchase very soon! Here are a few things that I loved.

Donna Karan New York

My recent purchases from a DKNY sample sale I luckily happened to stumble across while at Donna Karan for an interview. I got these sweaters(one more not pictured) and a jacket all for $50 bucks! I was so happy because I desperately needed sweaters for the colder weather coming in NY and it just happened to snow today for the first this winter!!

I have my first day of interning tomorrow and I can't wait! So anxious to start and its going to be a great experience :) Off to bed to get some beauty sleep, its going to be an early morn!

Simply Black & White

My first outfit post from NY! This is right around the corner from my apt in Brooklyn. I live in Brooklyn Heights, at the student apts for the Art Institute and I love this neighborhood! I had an interview with Donna Karan yesterday and wore this simple black and white outfit. I didn't want to wear anything that was too much so I figured black and white would be perfect. The long sleeve top I wore is Elizbeth and James that I got at a sample sale a couple weeks back. I'm so in love with it! The sleeves are silk and the front and back are incredibly soft. My first Elizabeth and James purchase and I'm let down one bit. I paired it with a F21 skirt and earrings, Dolce Vita oxfords, target tights and a H&M coat.

Oh and speaking of sample sales NYC has some amazing ones! When I went to Donna Karan yesterday I found out DKNY was having a sample sale. I got four sweaters and a jacket all for $50 bucks! Will share in a post tomorrow, can't wait to wear them! I desperately needed sweaters for the winter in NYC so it was a perfect find :)

This is a new nailpolish by Sally Hansen called Blue Ice that isn't in the stores yet that I'm trying out. Its nail polish strips kind of like minx and I'm absolutely obsessed. Theres not drying time it lasts for up to 10days! So far, so good :) Would definitely recommend them.

So happy its the weekend! About to go out for a few drinks with the girls in the city and I have all day off tomorrow. The first Sunday I've had off in a while and I'm excited for a Sunday funday in the city :)

Alive in NY

Hello world I'm back! Its been over two months since I last blogged but I'm finally getting back into the groove and boy have I missed it :) I recently moved to NY the beginning of October and I'm absolutely in love with the city. I'm so happy I decided to move to NY to attend fashion school and chase my dreams in the city of my dreams. Design school is going wonderfully and I couldn't love the school more. I recently met with a buying firm and will start interning next week! I'm so excited to get real life experience and attend NYFW for the first time this February! Ahh I'm sooo excited =D

So since I'm finally settled in NY I can get back to the blogging world and will update regularly. Here's some pictures of my first couple months in the city. Mostly I've been consumed with work and school but I do love to explore the city and have a little fun when I can. Hope you enjoy :)

FNO 2010 NYC

NYFW started off with a bang with the largest fashion show at the Lincoln center. Over 200 models and lots of fashion were to be seen. Unfortunately I wasn't in New York early enough to attend the show, but if there's one next year I'll definitely go! I however did get to attend FNO and it was so much fun! I drank lots of champagne ate chocolate covered strawberries while shopping the night away. So looking forward to FNO 2011!

So as I said in my last post, yesterday night I enjoyed the night off with a dinner date with my bf and some close friends. We caught up over margaritas, calamari, brushetta, and yummy Italian food at one of my favorite restaurants. It was nice to spend some quality time with the bf and catch up with great company.

Red is a color I'm loving for fall and this skirt is from F21 that I got for $5! I wore my F21 skirt with an Alexander Wang T, Steve Madden wedges, Michael Kors watch, and F21 necklace.

I got these wedges at Macy's while I as in NYC. Originally $130, I scored them for $25!! I was so thrilled when I went up to the cash register and these babies were over a $100 off, what a steal!

The draping on the back of the Alexander Wang T is my favorite part about it. It's so soft and just effortless.

Off to catch up on Gossip Girl before bed. Night!

Two weeks of no posting and I'm back!! So busy leading up to my trip to NYC and finally finding sometime now after getting back Sunday to update. I had a great time with one of my bests visiting Manhattan. I visited the Art Institute where I will be starting Fashion Design school in two weeks, saw my apartment that has a great view of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, attended FNO, visited the Lincoln center, ate lots of great food, and of course explored the city and had tons of fun. Can't wait to move to NY in two weeks. The months leading up have flown by and I can't believe I only have two weeks left in Florida, but I'm so ready for a change of scenery, life, and especially the weather! New outfit post with my new do :) I'm absolutely in love with my shorter hair cut and I'm so glad that I cut it today! I have so much hair, and its so thick that keeping it short is way more manageable for me. Wore this out around town today running errands, meeting the boy for lunch, and getting things done before NYC next week. Its still hot as ever here in Florida so I wore my Zara belt, skirt, and heels, F21 top and necklace. Love the army green color and turquoise blue paired together, esp loving army green for fall!

Couldn't be happier with the outcome of my haircut :)

I've had a great day so far, shows how much just cutting your hair can change your attitude. Hope everyone is enjoying their day and has a great night!

As soon as I saw these shorts in F21 I automatically thought of Miroslava Duma's Lavin skirt here. So I scooped them up and have been wearing them all summer long. They've provided to be a great pair of shorts for the summer heat and I'm glad I found them when I did :)

I wore my F21 shorts with a random pink tee, F21 fedora, Micheal Kors watch, F21 wedges and Rodarte lace bra.

It was a rainy day yesterday(actually the whole week has been) and I took advantage of it to wear my fav black fedora.

My new wedges from F21 that I'm in love with. Love F21 accessories, great buys for a great price! Can't wait to wear them more :)

With summer coming to an end, I'm not going to lie and its obvious, I'm so ready for the fall! I can't wait to start classes in NYC in the fall and actually have seasons, and when the holidays come it will actually be cold AND snowing!! I'm back! Crazy busy lately but mostly what I've been wearing out my diy light denim cutoffs, light silk blouses and my new Dolce Vita for Target boots! Love them, they'll be great to transition into the fall with. Can't wait for the cooler weather because the heat in Florida will not stop. The only thing that cools the weather is the rain, so I am ready for a change of scerney and for NYC in less than 3 weeks!

August is here and I can not believe summer is almost over! It has flown by for me, I guess since I've just been working sooo much. But I'm ready for the fall, not just for the fashion, but to start my life in NYC. I love this spread in Marie Claire Spain very hot, and summer. I'm wearing a white Alexander Wang dress, the dress on top is from a local boutique in town, with a F21 belt and jewelery, and Ray Ban Aviators.

Love these two dresses that I'm wearing. They're both very sheer, so I doubled them up and they're perfect for summer! The Alexander Wang dress is amazing, so soft and a great layering piece. A. Wang never disappoints.

If there is one girl's style who I can not get enough of, its definitely Miroslava Duma. She always looks so chic and is never afraid to take risks, which makes her style that much better! Love her style for summer and I def get soo much inspiration from her. Its great when I get to see new looks and I would die to raid her closet!!

Also a big congrats to Miroslava Duma on her pregnancy!! I hope to look just as chic as her when I'm pregnant! She is an inspiration for pregnant women everywhere and I can't wait to see more of what she wears.

So sorry for my lack of posting! I know I've been slacking and I don't mean too but I've just been working sooo much to save up for NYC. Will definitely get back on my blogging game tho!

Any who, went to dinner the other night with the bf and with the sun setting I could finally where my new Zara trousers without sweating like a beast lol from this summer heat. I rarely am able to wear pants, jeans, or even leggings during the summer bc it's so hot here in Florida.

So I've decided to start a monthly "Wish I was wearing" post for my favorite must have outfits of the month. June's outfits are still a must for summer but I'm also craving to wear these for July. Currently loving boyfriend shorts in olive and pale pink, suede shorts and wedges, leather shorts, flowy and breezy button downs, wedges, and accessories and make-up in bright colors.

Feeling Blue.....

So Friday I did a little thrift shopping and I found these great pair of shorts that I'm in love with. They're perfect for the summer heat and I can't wait to wear them more! I'm very partial to blue(considering its my fav color) so immediately I was drawn to these shorts. I paired my thrifted shorts with an A&E button down, Nine West gladiators, F21 rings and sunnies, Louis Vuitton speedy and Michael Kors watch.

In a very dire need to go shoe shopping, I feel all my shoes are so last season and I need to update them ASAP!!! So.....I found out Zara is having a semi annual sale with their whole store(besides 10% of their merchandise) 50% off!!!! Tuesday I'm headed to the closest, big city to do some shopping! Can't wait :)

Resort Summer Inspiration

There are a few resort collections that are inspiring me for summer and that stood out to me. So I wanted to share my favorites....

JENNI KAYNE

Not only am I drooling over the chic sunglasses and metallic booties from Jenny Kayne's resort collection but I love the easy, just throw it on dressing. The warm, neutral color palette is my favorite for the summer season. With the heat over 90 degrees, close to a 100 here every day in Florida, I'm constantly looking for ways to dress cooler. I need more neutral pieces like this in my summer wardrobe asap!

MAX AZRIA

Immediately when I was looking through Max Azria's resort collection I felt like I was transported to Africa.

The warm, rich colors and loose fit to the clothing makes for a cool safari getaway collection. Once again the

neutral colors attracted me right away, but I also loved the layering and coolness to the collection. Every piece

is so versatile, which will make for a very wearable collection.

MATTHEW WILLIAMSON

Last but certainly not least Matthew Williamson's resort collections adds a little color and print, where as the other

collections were more neutral based with a pop of color. I loved his lush prints and pops of color. Especially the red

trousers paired with the peach blazer, so effortlessly cool. The resort collection had a more urban feel compared to

his other collections, but thats what makes me love it more. A bright slouchy shirt, paired with a structured

patterned skirt says effortlessy cool while still appearing put together. Matthew was not afraid to use seprates in

the resort collection, with pieces from skirts, to cropped jackets, and trousers. Again a very wearable resort

collection that will keep me inspired this summer. :)

couple great pairs of thrifted shorts yesterday and a romper perfect for summer! Can't wait to share, so an outfit

Wore this out running errand yesterday and the olive trousers are one of my must have staples for fall! I love how versatile they can be, whether worn dressed up or down. They are also super comfy which makes that a huge plus in the Florida heat.

Burberry Prorsum Resort 2011

Words can not describe how in love I am with Burberry Prorsum's Resort 2011 collection. It screams cool chic and I thought I couldn't love any other of their collections more than the last, but Burberry just keeps stepping it up!

Drooling over the gorgeous detailed trenches, buckled black booties, python bags, and beautiful ruching on the pale pink skirts.

The fabrics and accessories make the collection feel so lush and wearable. I could see myself wearing all these pieces and would die to own any piece from this collection.

Once again Burberry Prorsum did not disappoint and they are now one of my all time favorite designers! I can not wait to see what they bring to the "fashion plate" this fall!!!

Cinnamon Beach on Darker Days...

Last Thursday I went out of town for a little to visit my family, well mostly my nephew lol. I knew I'd be running around chasing after him and playing with my nephew so I wanted to wear something easy and comfortable, but still chic. I had been searching for what seemed like forever, for a great chambray shirt that I didn't want to pay too much for. I finally came across the perfect one at a local boutique and I'm so happy I found one, I'll def be incorporating it into my summer wardrobe lots ;)

I paired it with a Forever 21 dress worn as a skirt, Payless gladiators, F21 and vintage rings, Fossil watch, and gifted bracelets

The boyfriend and I went out of town to Jacksonville for his best's friends bday. It was a great weekend filled with gorgeous weather, jet skis, great friends, yummy food, blue beaches, and sailing.

I came across Miroslava Duma in a fashion forum months ago, and have already included her in a blog post. Then a couple weeks ago I came across another fashion forum, that had loads of great pics of her. I instantly became obsessed with her sense of style once again and had to share my favs!

The vacations she goes on are insanely gorgeous! Would die to go on any of her vacays!

Miami B-day Getaway

Friday(April 30) was my birthday, and I've finally graduated so the boy and I celebrated by going to Miami for the weekend! We spent our time taking in the gorgeous weather, swimming in the clear blue ocean water, shopping of course, wandering around South Beach, and just taking in Miami :) I couldn't have a had a better, relaxing little b-day getaway and it was just what I needed! I put together some photos I wanted to share from my trip to Miami.

Since I never got the gold watch I wanted for Christmas, I figured I treat myself for spring break, or just give myself an excuse to. I've been wanting a large gold men's inspired watch for a while now, and Micheal Kors' was a brand that I knew would have a great design for a reasonable price. So with a hopeful mindset I walked into Micheal Kors and walked out with a watch in hand :) Can't wait to wear it asap!

Tribute to McQueen

Yesterday the fashion world was hit with a huge blow when Alexander McQueen was found dead at his London home. I first found out about the tragic news on the way to class and was in shock. Not only was he one of my favorite designers but his Spring2010 collection was so brilliant that there is now a void that can not be filled. He was loved by so many fashionistas, celebrities, and the fashion world all over. With the start of fashion week yesterday, a huge cloud was cast over NYFW. Hopefully his latest collections will eventually be shown, honestly I can not wait to see what his genius mind had instore for us.

Golden Globes

Award season is here, and the best part is seeing all the gorgeous dresses! Anna Pacquin in Stella McCartney shut it down. I love the sequin dress and the unexpected pairing of the platform sandals. Drew Barrymore in Atelier Versace was the only other dress that I loved. Her make-up was gorgeous and I loved the nude, crystal encrusted dress.

Kate Bosworth and Chloe Sevigny at the Golden Globe after party were two dresses that I loved. I adore Kate Hudson's dress with the loose side braid. While Chloe Sevigny looked nothing less than chic in her Christian Lacroix dress and her large diamond earrings.

First post of a new year and a brand new decade! Lots of things to look forward to, and a few resolutions to keep. I want to drop a lot of the bad energy in my life and do some good for myself. Work hard towards my dreams more than ever and go after everything that I want. 2010 is looking very promising and hopefully I get the change I need. Classes start tomorrow and I'm signed up for my last semester! Can't wait to graduate and start my bachelors in a new city. I sent my application to FIT over the weekend and will be to Parsons and a couple back ups very soon. Actually excited to start this semester and graduate!

So with the new year, finally came the cold weather here in Florida. While most of the people are hating the cold, I'm actually loving it. Nothing better than cozy sweaters, being snug under warm blankets, and lounging by the fire this time of the year. I wish the colder weather would have came a few days sooner, but better late than never. I love being able to wear boots, scarves and tights when the weather drops. Over the weekend when I went out, I wore my new lace up wedge booties from F21 that I'm in love with at the moment. The wedge heel is so comfortable, I find myself not wanting to take them off :) I also wore a NY&Co. sweater dress, h&m tights, express lace top and F21 scarf. The weather is only getting colder, so its finally time to wear the heavier coats!

Goodbye 2009. Hello 2010!

Christmas time for me every year is what I look forward to out of all the holidays the most. I spend Christmas between the boy's parents and mine. The only thing that could have made this Christmas better was if it wasn't 70 degrees when I woke up that morning. The weather here in Florida is very bipolar, being 40 degrees one day and 80 the next. But I decided to wear my F21 beaded sweater skirt and sheer polka dot tights, Nine West sling backs, V.S. top, and OPI Vodka and Caviar nail polish.

Today is the last day of 2009 and New Year's Eve! Still not sure what I'm doing or going to wear, stuck between sparkly and leather or sequins and sheer. So I'm off to figure that out asap and get ready for dinner. I hope everyone has an incredible New Year's Eve, I can't wait to ring in the New Year!! Goodbye 2009, hello 2010 ;) Ready for a new year, new decade, and a new chapter in my life.

The Tuesday before Christmas the boy and I celebrated our 6yr anniversary. :) We spent the day in Orlando, Fl shopping and then went to Opa Tavernas. Opa Tavernas is a Greek restaurant and it was our first experience at one. I was pleasantly surprised and had a great time! So happy we decided to try it out for dinner.

Carrie Bradshaw's apartment from Sex and the City

Would loove to have this apt. if and when I move to NYC!! The closet is perfect in this apartment and the atmosphere seems so comfortable and inviting. Can't wait for Sex and the City 2 to come out! Even though Carrie definitely will not be living in her apartment anymore. Shes moved up to the big leagues :)

Blogging has been slow for me because I had finals last week and then been working so much I can hardly find the time to get a blog post in. It feels like forever since I've done an outfit post but there will be one soon!

I've been wanting the black resin necklace Nicole wears in the outfit to the left for it seems like forever. Then I saw some of her recent pieces and fell in love even more! The peacock gold cuff is gorgeous! Hopefully I might get a piece for Christmas :)

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving and ate tons and tons of delicious food! :) I had two Thanksgivings, lunch over at the boy's parents and then dinner at mine. Of course I indulged all day and decided I must wear something loose fitting. I ended up going with this Guess dress I purchased over a year ago and never got around to wearing it. The dealing is actually pretty great and you can't really tell from the photos but the silver is metallic. A cold front has come through just in time for the holidays and I so hope its here to stay b/c I can't take dressing for the warmer weather anymore. So I ended up pairing the dress with a comfy pair of tights, booties, and a boyfriend cardigan. The outfit was so comfy that when I passed out at 10pm I was still wearing it. :)

Polka Dot Affection

So I finally found a pair of polka dot tights from F21! I think I want to get a different pair though bcause these ones are mesh and have much more polka dots than I originally wanted. I still love them but would like another pair too :) I wore this today while shopping running around town shopping with a friend. A cold front is coming threw just in time for Thanksgiving! Sooo excited. I also picked a sequin blazer from F21 and can not wait to wear it!

Earlier in the week I went to the local bookstore and caught up on all my favorite fashion magazines. Of course when I saw Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of Elle I was excited to see what was inside. I loved how she was styled a little more tougher because its not something you usually see from her or her character Carrie Bradshaw. I also can not wait to see Sex and the City 2 and the fashion of course :)

I also saw this spread in Elle and loved it. Its every thing I want right now from nude pumps, a gold watch, big sunglasses, nude purse, sequin scarf, chic clutch, and bold jewelery.

I've been trying to blog a lot more lately. I feel I have been, and lately I've been inspired by a lot more. Dressing for the colder weather is exciting for me. I love wearing scarves, tights, layers, sweaters, and coats. I also love that I can wear my blazers more without dying from the heat. So I wore this out the other day while running errands. The weather was perfect for a light pair of jeans and cropped blazer. Threw on my lace-up booties and did a little shopping. To my pleasant suprise I finally found a pair of polka dot tights, which I cannot wait to wear. I also got a great eternity scarf in grey, which will be great for layering :)

On a side note the Project Runway finale is tonight and I haven't watched it yet. I'm excited to see the collections and who will be the winner! I'm kinda on the fence between Althea and Irana so I'm waiting to see the shows and who I will love more. Who was everyone else's favorite? Let me know I'm curious!

NewYorkCityPR on twitter is having blogger month and I couldn't be more behind it! I think the blogging world is taking the fashion world by storm. Allowing real girls to interpret their own take on trends, street style, and what's being worn on the runways. One of the trends that I absolutely loved in the recent shows is socks and sandals. My jaw dropped when I saw the sparkly sheer socks in the Dior show and knew it was definitely something I had to have. Although I don't have any sparkly sheer socks (yet) I took a pair of old sheer tights and cut the bottoms off so I could wear them as socks. Loving how they turned out and can't wait to experiment with them more.

NewYorkCityPR also asked what does it mean to be a fashion blogger. For me I started a fashion blog because fashion is something that I cannot live without. Everyday I read, live, breathe fashion. Since I am still in college and planning to start fashion school soon, I started my blog for a creative outlet and to share my love for fashion with everyone. Being a fashion blogger is all about sharing your love and what fashion means to you with the world. I love to post editorials, clothing, accessories, shoes and anything fashion that inspires me to share with everyone. Hopefully I can inspire others, as many other fashion bloggers have inspired me.

Hope everyone loves my blog as much as I do, it really allows me to keep my sanity when my hectic world is spinning.
